Q. What denomination is Living Faith Church?
A. As a non-denominational ministry, Living Faith Church does not claim affiliation with any particular denomination. We are evangelical in our theology, contemporary in our worship, and apostolic in our mission. LFC is associated with Rhema Ministerial Association International.
Q. Why should I go to church?
A. Christianity is about community, where those who follow Jesus worship, learn, and grow together while serving each other and modeling Christ to a watching world (Heb 10:24-25). It honors God and is an expression of our love for Him (Ex. 20:8, Ps. 22:22). Going to church while also doing our own personal Bible study at home on a regular basis helps us to get confirmation of God’s message and what He wants us to do with our lives (Rom. 10-17).
Q. What is LFC’s view of the scriptures?
A. The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of the holy men of old who spoke and wrote as the Holy Spirit moved them. We accept it as our infallible guide in matter pertaining to conduct and doctrine. We approach the Bible as the Holy Word of God, written to His creation. (II Tim. 3:16, I Thes. 2:13, II Peter 1:21)
Q. What is your belief about the Godhead?
A. Our God is one, but manifested in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, being co-equal (Phil. 2:6). God the Father is the sender of the Word (Logos) and the Begetter (John 14:28, John 16:28, John 1:14). The Son is the Word flesh-covered, the One Begotten, and has existed with the Father from the beginning (John 1:1, John 1:18, John 1:14). The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal (John 15:26).
Q. What is your worship like?
A. Living Faith Church displays expressive worship. Worship is a response of our heart to God’s love. Worship can take on many various expressions that you may not be familiar with, or even comfortable with. We realize that many people have been only exposed to somewhat of a condensed version of Christianity, yet God is the originator of creativity, art and expression. Raising hands in worship, singing, shouting, even dancing are all expressions of worship found in the Bible. Miriam, David, the apostles etc. Expressed through singing, raising of hands, dancing
Q. What is the preaching like?
A. You won’t hear messages that have nothing to do with real everyday life. What you will hear is truth that you can apply to your personal life. Pastor Tim offers messages that will challenge, encourage, and entertain you all at the same time, by the truth that stems through the hope found in Jesus Christ.
Q. What are ways I can hear a Sunday Message?
A. Beyond coming to Sunday Service, messages are offered through CD, DVD, and online our website under the Media tab.
Q. What are the people like?
A. If you don’t like friendly people then Living Faith Church is not the place for you. We are just ordinary people, who will always greet you with a smile and a warm handshake. The people who make up the church are on a journey toward becoming passionately devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Some are further along in that journey than others, but that should make finding someone you connect with along the path that much easier.
Q. What do you offer for youth?
A. We at LFC are not afraid to take on the combat of the culture. We work to evangelize, inspire, console, and teach our youth to lead heroic and holy lives through weekly Youth Groups and our monthly ‘Going Deep’ classes. Our heart is to equip the youth of this generation with courage to use the skills and abilities God has given them to be faithful witnesses of Jesus. In doing so, it prepares them to take their transformation from the Cross to impact their world for Christ!
Q. What do you offer for children?
A. LFC takes its responsibility of teaching all ages very seriously. We offer age appropriate curriculum through our Little Lambs, Dynamites, & Covenant Kids classes. With use of puppets, skits, power point, flannel graphs and more, we are able to present the Truth of God’s Word in an exciting way that allows the kids to see His Word in action. We also believe that according to the Word of God, children are just as capable of receiving and acting on the gospel, as well as operating in the gifts of the Spirit and serving in different areas of ministry.
Q. Do you offer a nursery?
A. Yes. Our nursery workers are honored to be entrusted with the exceptional care of your child. With joy they teach mentally and spiritually stimulating principles while meeting their needs in love.
Q. How do I drop off & pick up my children?
A. You are asked to sign in your young children in the designated area in the church foyer. Children are then dismissed after worship service to follow their teachers to their respective classes. You are then expected to pick your children up from their classroom after service ends.
Q. Where do singles fit in?
A. LFC considers singles both essential and indispensable to our church. Singles serve throughout the church in ministries and in leadership. Additionally, singles always enjoy being with other believers who will equip and encourage them as they grow, serve, and make connections with others who are living a life of joy in Christ.
Q. What is the role for women at LFC?
A. After careful study of the Scriptures, we believe the biblical teaches equality of men and women. Therefore, no distinction is made as to which offices, ministries, or functions are open to men and women. (Gal. 4:28) We realize our stand on this issue may differ from others, and therefore do not make this point either a test of orthodox Christianity or a standard for membership.
Q. Do you offer anything for marriage enrichment?
A. LFC believes in enriching and strengthening the basic family unit represented in the covenant of Christian marriage and to encourage married couples to grow more into the likeness of Christ. Once a month we offer ‘Strengthening Marriage’ to come along side one another for support, fun, and a building up of our marriages.
Q. What is appropriate to wear when coming to church?
A. We believe that the most important part of Sunday morning is showing up to worship God. We do not require or expect people to dress up. Some do wear their “Sunday best” but you are also going to be among those with casual shirts, slacks, and even jeans.
Q. Can I submit a prayer request?
A. LFC believes in the transforming power of prayer to a God who is limitless in His loving-kindness and goodness. In this trust of God’s endless pursuit for our good, we are honored and delighted to pray for you. Prayer requests can be offered up during Sunday Worship, by calling our church office at (715) 943-2349, or e-mailing us atmoc.l1498608555iamg@1498608555iwhcr1498608555uhcht1498608555iafgn1498608555ivil1498608555.
Q. What do you believe about tithing?
A. Scripturally “to tithe” means to give a tenth (10%) of all your increase to God (Heb. 7:1-4). In attending our services, a person will gain a Biblical view of finances and how God views our giving to the local church, other charitable organizations and our family. Our church believes our provision has a purpose. We are not here merely to acquire; instead, we are here to be distributors of all God entrusts to us.
Q. Will I be expected to make an offering?
A. We do not expect guests to make a donation to our ministry. We do take an offering at every worship celebration to support the work of LFC and other mission projects locally and around the world. This is why it is called a Free Will Offering.
Q. What are your service times?
A. We offer a Sunday morning worship service along with Children’s Church starting at 10:00 a.m.
Q. How long in a typical service?
A. Our services usually run from 10 a.m. To 12 p.m.
Q. How does LFC practice baptism?
A. Baptism in water is by immersion. It is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His recommendation regarding the water baptismal formula is adopted; to wit: “On the confession of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and by His authority, I baptize you in the Name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.”
Q. What is child dedication?
A. Living Faith Church provides parents with the opportunity to dedicate their children to the Lord. We believe it is the parent’s charge to train their children to love the Lord, and through public dedicating their children, parents are making a covenant before the Lord and their church family. Typically, babies are under the age of 4. We have found that often times older children are aware and somewhat uncomfortable being the “oldest” and included with the “babies”, but there is no set rule.
Q. What is LFC’s view of speaking in tongues?
A. The baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the New Birth. This experience accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance (Matt. 3:11, John 14:16, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:38, Acts 19:1-7, Acts 2:4). As it relates to speaking in tongues the Bible teaches that we pray both with our understanding and with our Spirit and that we can both sing with our understanding and sing in the Spirit (1 Cor. 14:15). There is a difference between the gift of tongues (which would need an interpretation) and tongues as a language of prayer and praise.
Q. What is your view on the gifts of the Holy Spirit?
A. There are nine gifts of the Spirit mentioned by Paul in I Corinthians chapter twelve:
Word of Wisdom, Word of Knowledge, Faith, Gifts of Healing, Working of Miracles, Prophecy, Discerning of Spirits, Divers (or different) kinds of Tongues, Interpretation of (different) Tongues. These gifts of the Spirit are given for the Body of Christ. It is to make the Body complete, and empower it to do the work of Christ, exalting Christ.
Q. Do you believe in divine healing?
A. Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and is the privilege of every member of the Church today. (Mark 16:18, James 5:14-25, I Peter 2:24, Matt 8:17, Isa 53:4-5)

A. Our Sunday morning service averages about 70 people with a warm family feel, working to utilize our assets for growth as individuals and as a body.
Q. How is LFC organized and governed?
A. Our church is governed by a group of Elders as described in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. The Elders and staff make major directional decisions taking into account opinions and counsel from members of our congregation. Since we want to encourage ministry and not be slowed by unnecessary bottlenecks, we entrust much of the decision-making to those who are directly involved in a particular ministry.
Q. What are your core beliefs?
A. Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” “As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.” Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the work of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Rom. 5:14, Rom 3:23, I John3:8). Salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God (Eph 2:8). We believe that Christianity is not a religion but a relationship the Jesus Christ.
Q. How can I be saved?
A. Man’s first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that worketh repentance. The New Birth is necessary to all men, and when experienced produces eternal life (II Cor. 7:10, I John 5:12, John 3:3-5). Acts 16:31 states “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” Romans 10:10 says “For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”
Q. What is your view on the Resurrection of the Just and the Return of Our Lord?
A. The angel’s said to Jesus’ disciples, “This same Jesus shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven.” His coming is imminent. When He comes, “…the dead in Christ shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air…” (Acts1:11, I Thes. 4:16-17) Following the Tribulation, He shall return to earth as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, and together with His saints, who shall be kings and priests. He shall reign a thousand years. (Rev. 20:6)
Q. Are there prophets in the church today?
A. Throughout history, the prophet has always been God’s messenger, or mouthpiece. According to Ephes. 4:11, Romans 12:6, 1 Corinth. 12:10 & 28 Prophets are given for every church age.

A. LFC communicates through various avenues to keep our congregation informed with weekly announcements over the pulpit, on Power Point, hand-outs at the Information Booth, Weekly e-mail, Facebook, and our LFC website.
Q. What is your view on membership?
A. We can draw a parallel between God’s emphasis on “ye are the (universal) body of Christ, and members inparticular,” and “ye are the (local) body of Christ and members in particular”. If God felt that membership in the universal church was important, would it be any less important on a local level? (See I Cor. 12:112, 14, 20, 27). However, everyone is welcome at our Sunday Worship celebrations. You do not need to be a member of our community to experience the presence of God with us.
